SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3
Day 2

Team USA returned to the ice for its final practice before opening tournament-play tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. AT against Korea. The practice was a 90-minute session that began at 12:30 p.m. AT and concluded with the traditional shootout competition.

ALMOST BOWL SEASON
After practice, several members of Team USA relaxed at the hotel and watched college football action from the last Saturday of the regular season.  Among the conference championship games, the Big Ten title tilt between Wisconsin and Penn State later is of great interest to head coach Jeff Sauer, who previously served as the head coach of the Badgers’ men’s hockey team from 1982-2002.

A PAIR OF DEBUTS
Forward Noah Grove and defenseman Jack Wallace are making their debut with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team in tomorrow’s matchup against Korea. Wallace had been a member of the U.S. Development Sled Hockey Team since 2013, while Grove began skating with the Development Team in 2014. Grove (17) is the youngest player on the team, and Wallace is one of two 18-year-olds on the roster (Brody Roybal).

QUOTES OF THE DAY
“It’s always an honor to wear our country’s colors on the ice, but it’s even more special to do so at the highest level. I’m really excited to do that tomorrow.” – Jack Wallace

“I’m definitely going to have some nervous energy running through me tomorrow. I’m just glad the wait is finally over and tomorrow I’ll be competing alongside my teammates.” – Noah Grove
