Team USA claimed a 7-0 victory over Sweden in its first game of the 2017 Para Sled Hockey World Championship in Gangneung, South Korea. Here are some thoughts and comments from Team USA forwards Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) and Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.).

ON THE GANGNEUNG HOCKEY CENTRE
"It's really great to be here in PyeongChang and getting to use the ice, locker rooms and everything. The facilities are great and we're excited to be here knowing we'll be back next year." - Declan Farmer

"The ice is great out here, they did a great job with this whole facility. It's been fun so far here in Korea." - Brody Roybal

ON SAUER'S TRIBUTE VIDEO
Prior to Team USA's game, a video recognizing the late head coach Jeff Sauer (Madison, Wis.) played on the jumbotron.

"That video was really special for everyone to see that Coach was honored at the international sled hockey level. This tournament is for him and we're glad we got off to a good start." - Farmer

ON THE FARMER-MCKEE-ROYBAL CONNECTION
"It's always fun with these guys. Declan is probably the best player in the world, so I mean it's awesome to have him on my line. And then there's Kevin who kind of sets both of us up a lot, so we all work well together." - Roybal

"We've developed some good chemistry over the past three seasons. It's been fun and I'm glad we were able to get things going right from the start here." - Farmer

ON "GOOSE'S" RETURN
Head coach Guy Gosselin (Grafton, Wis.) spent the 2011-15 seasons with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team as an assistant coach for Coach Sauer. Now back with Team USA in a head coaching role, players and staff alike are excited to have 'Goose' back in the fold.

"It's been great. We really missed him the past couple of years. He did a great job as an assistant for coach Sauer and we're picking up right where we left off there." - Farmer

"I think we're all happy to have someone like Goose step in and take over after Coach Sauer's passing. He knows us and what it means to represent the U.S. so it's fun." - Roybal
