TODAY'S GAMES
The 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase continues today at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Team USA Blue and Finland, both of which fell in their respective games yesterday, will face off at 1 p.m. ET. That game will be followed by yesterday’s winners, Team USA White and Sweden, playing at 4 p.m. ET. Tickets for both games are available here and at the USA Hockey Box Office while both games will be streamed live at HockeyTV.com.

FARRANCE, GREENWAY ADDED TO U.S. ROSTER
Defensemen David Farrance (Victor, N.Y./U.S. National Under-18 Team (NTDP)) and J.D. Greenway (Canton, N.Y./ Univ. of Wisconsin (Big Ten)) have been added to the U.S. roster for the 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase. Farrance, who helped the U.S. claim the gold medal at the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Men’s World Championship in Poprad and Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia, arrived this morning and will skate for USA White. A member of the bronze medal-winning U.S. Men’s National Under-18 Team at th 2016 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Greenway will arrive tonight and skate for USA Blue starting tomorrow. Team USA’s roster now includes 25 forwards, 15 defensemen, and four goaltenders.

YESTERDAY’S GAME: USA WHITE 4, FINLAND 2
Three different U.S. players - Evan Barratt (Bristol, Penn.), Casey Mittelstadt (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Max Gerlach (Burnsville, Minn.) - tallied a goal and an assist as USA White topped Finland, 4-2. Jake Oettinger (Lakeville, Minn.) and Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.) shared goaltending duties in the win.  Kasper Kotkansalo and Janne Kuokkanen tallied in the loss for Finland.

YESTERDAY’S GAME: SWEDEN 4, USA BLUE 3
Riley Tufte (Ham Lake, Minn.) registered a pair of assists and six other players recorded points, but USA Blue fell to Sweden, 4-3, in yesterday’s second game. Logan Cockerill (Brighton, Mich.), Sean Dhooghe (Aurora, Ill.) and Brady Tkachuk (St. Louis, Mo.) all scored in the loss. Jesper Bratt scored twice and Timothy Liljegren tied the game with 4:29 remaining before Fredrick Karlstrom netted one with nine seconds remaining to give Sweden the 4-3 victory. MOTZKO REFLECTS ON OPENING DAY OF GAMES
“Today was about trying to find guys for the right spots so their talents could really shine through. We saw that in a handful of guys today and tomorrow we’ll shuffle some things around and hope to see more,” said Bob Motzko, head coach of the 2018 U.S. National Junior Team.
