DRAMATIC WIN; GOLD-MEDAL GAME TOMORROW
Team USA rallied from a two-goal deficit in the final period earlier today to top Canada, 4-3, in a shootout to advance to tomorrow's gold-medal game. Britta Curl (Bismarck, N.D.) and Makenna Webster (St. Louis, Mo.) each scored in the shootout, while Lindsay Reed (New Vernon, N.J.) stopped the final four shots she faced to seal the victory. Third-period goals by Casey O'Brien (Milton, Mass.) and Kelly Browne (Burlington, Mass.) tied the contest for Team USA. The U.S. will look to win its fourth consecutive gold medal at the IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship when it takes on Sweden tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. local time/11:30 a.m. ET. That contest will be live streamed right here on TeamUSA.USAHockey.com.
