Today we're highlighting the three goaltenders on the 2018 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team, who are all set to make their debuts on the Olympic stage in PyeongChang. Read more on each netminder below. 

Nicole Hensley (Lakewood, Colo.) is set to make her Olympic debut in 2018 after helping the U.S. Women’s National Team earn gold at both the 2016 and 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championships. Hensley won three games in goal for Team USA at the 2017 world championship, including the gold-medal game vs. Canada, while compiling a goals-against average of .0.63 and a save percentage of .964. Hensley was also a member of the championship-winning U.S. squads at the 2016 and 2017 Four Nations Cups.

Alex Rigsby (Delafield, Wis.) is also making her debut on the Olympic stage in PyeongChang. The Delafield, Wisconsin, native is a four-time gold medalist at the IIHF Women’s World Championship, having helped Team USA win titles in the 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Rigsby has also been a member of the 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017 U.S. teams that took home championships at the Four Nations Cup. A 2009 gold medalist with the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team, Rigsby has won 19 games in a Team USA sweater all-time with a .924 save percentage and 1.69 goals-against average.

Maddie Rooney (Andover, Minn.) made her National Team debut at the 2017 IIHF Women’s World Championship with a shutout victory against Russia, and followed up that performance by earning three victories in goal for the U.S. at the 2017 Four Nations Cup. Set to make her Olympic debut next month, Rooney has played two years of college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She earned All-WCHA Third Team honors after backstopping the Bulldogs to a 25-7-5 record with a .924 save percentage and a 1.65 goals-against average in 2016-17.
