David Leggio

Goaltender David Leggio (Williamsville, N.Y.) is making his Olympic debut after previously representing Team USA at the 2017 Deutschland Cup, where he played in two periods of the opening game, surrendering one goal in 10 shots faced. Leggio also played in the Deutschland Cup in 2009, and two World Championships in 2014 and 2010. Leggio is currently playing with EHC München of the DEL, and has recorded a .917 save percentage in 22 games played this season. Prior to the DEL, Leggio played 202 games over six seasons with the Hershey Bears, Rochester Americans, Portland Pirates, Albany River Rats and Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. He also played four years at Clarkson University, and helped the team become ECAC Champions in 2007 and was voted the ECAC goaltender of the year.

Brandon Maxwell

Goaltender Brandon Maxwell (Winter Park, Fla.) is making his Olympic debut after previously representing Team USA at the 2017 Deutschland Cup, where he appeared in one game of the three-game tournament, recording 21 saves. Maxwell also played for the U.S. internationally when he was part of the bronze-medal winning 2008 U.S. National Under-18 team, where he finished with a .926 save percentage after five games. Maxwell currently plays with BK Mlada Boleslav of the Czech league, was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and is a product of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.

Ryan Zapolski

Goaltender Ryan Zapolski (Erie, Pa.) is making his Olympic debut after previously representing Team USA at the 2017 Deutschland Cup, where he appeared in two games. Zapolski also played for the U.S. in the two previous Deutschland Cups, helping his team to win first place in 2013 and second place in 2015. Zapolski currently plays for Jokerit of the KHL, where he has recorded a .932 save percentage in 38 games and was voted Goaltender of the month for October. Prior to playing in Europe, Zapolski played 56 games in the ECHL and was named Goaltender of the Year and Most Valuable Player in 2013. Zapolski also played four years at Mercyhurst College from 2007 to 2011.
