The U.S. women had its first practice at the Gangneung Hockey Centre today, the rink that will host the women’s tournament semifinal games tomorrow (Feb. 19).

MOVING DAY
Though it sounds like a typical practice day, it was far from an ordinary morning at the rink. Because the semifinals are being held at the Gangneung Hockey Centre and all of the preliminary games were hosted at the Kwandong Hockey Centre, the team locker room and everything the players needed for practice was at the other rink. The solution was to get dressed at Kwandong and bus over to Gangneung, but the result was a fun bus ride in full gear. Once the team arrived to the rink, it was business as usual.

ALL SMILES
Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.) and Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minn.) were all smiles during a fun interview with Dave Schwartz of NBC Minnesota’s KARE 11 station. Dave hosted a fun game to see how well each player knew one another using true and false questions.

ONTO THE SEMIFINALS
After a weekend of no games, the U.S. will hit the ice tomorrow at 1:10 p.m. local time for its semifinal match-up against Finland. Catch all the action live on NBCSN and follow @USAHockey on Twitter for live updates.
