The United States opened its Paralympic sled hockey debut with a 1-1 tie to eventual silver medalist, Canada. After back-to-back losses to Japan (2-1) and Norway (0-2), Team USA registered its first-ever Paralympic win with a 7-0 shutout over Great Britain. In a rematch against Japan, Team USA fell, 1-2, and finished the tournament in sixth place with a 1-3-1 (W-L-T) record.
