QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will take on host nation Canada here today in its third and final preliminary round game of the Para Hockey Cup. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. ET at the Qplex, and the game will be streamed live here.
Team USA and Canada both enter this game unbeaten with 2-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) records.These teams faced off in a pre-tournament game on Saturday (Dec. 1), where the U.S. skated to a 5-2 win. The winner of this contest will enter the semifinal round as the top seed in the tournament.
The U.S. won the Para Hockey Cup opener 3-0 on Sunday (Dec. 2) against Czechia, and then beat China 11-1 in its second preliminary round game on Monday (Dec. 3).
Team USA entered the tournament with a 5-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record on the season after winning the IPH Cup in Ostrava, Czechia, in October. The U.S. has won a record nine Para Hockey Cups all-time, including seven consecutive tournament titles.
