USA Hockey's National Office Staff wish Team USA good luck against Canada.
The U.S. takes on arch-rival Canada today in the fourth and final preliminary-round game for both teams. Opening faceoff is set for 4 p.m. ET and the game can be seen live in the U.S. on NHL Network and will be streamed live on NHL.com.
At stake is the top seed in Group A. With a victory, Team USA will play the fourth-place finisher from Group B in quarterfinal action on Friday (Jan. 2) at 5 p.m. ET, while if Canada wins today’s game, the U.S. will finish second in Group A and play the third-place finisher in Group B on Friday (Jan. 2) at 1 p.m. ET.
Thatcher Demko, who plays at Boston College and hails from San Diego, California, will get the start in goal today for Team USA. He is 2-0-0-0 in the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship with a 0.48 goals against average and .978 save percentage.
