Members of the U.S. Women's National Team Showcase Gold Medal Victory at Worlds

Coming off a thrilling overtime win over Canada in the gold medal game of the 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship on April 7, members of the U.S. Women's National Team went in several directions and returned home.

Two days after earning gold, Amanda Kessel attended the New York Rangers game and watched her brother Phil take on the Blueshirts. During the game, Amanda was acknowledged on the in-arena video board and conducted an intermission interview with Amanda Borges. She was also profiled on the Penguins TV broadcast.

That Monday, appearances included a visit to TODAY by Hilary Knight, Kendall Coyne and Amanda Kessel.

Among other activities that day in New York, Coyne visited the set of NHL Now with E.J. Hradek, Steve Mears and Michelle McMahon. The crew showcased the game-winning goal and compared it to a famous Canada Cup goal by Mario Lemieux assisted by Wayne Gretzky. They laughed on air that Coyne was Lemiuex in that scenario, to which she gracefully was thankful and joked "except he's Canadian."

Following the show, Gretzky texted Hradek and jokingly told him to make Coyne aware that he has five American children.

On Tuesday, captain Meghan Duggan joined Kessel and Coyne for a myriad of promotional activity with morning stops at NPR, Huffington Post and Wall Street Journal. The afternoon saw the trio visit with media at a local restaurant before heading to the Empire State Building for a photo opportunity.

Later that week in their home state, Hannah Brandt, Lee Stecklein, Maddie Rooney and Kelly Pannek conducted interviews before Game Two of the Wild playoff series and welcomed the crowd with the traditional "Let's Play Hockey" introduction.

The fun continued this week with several players from the Boston area attending a Red Sox game where they were honored before the game, including the first pitch by Kacey Bellamy.
