Live on NHL Network: U.S. Faces Canada at 7 p.m. in World Jr Showcase

Tune in daily for the latest updates on Team USA throughout the 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase underway at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

Day 9: August 5

TONIGHT’S GAMES 
The 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase will conclude tonight with two of the biggest rivalry games in the sport, as Sweden faces Finland at 4 p.m. ET and USA takes on Canada at 7 p.m. ET. Tickets are still available and both games will be televised live on NHL Network (U.S.) and TSN (Canada). 

U.S. AUTOGRAPH SIGNING TODAY 
Today, after the U.S.-Canada game, players from the U.S. squad will be signing autographs for fans. Those interested are encouraged to meet the players in the concourse area of the main rink.

FARRANCE TOPS SPORTSCENTER TOP 10 PLAYS OF THE DAY
This morning, ESPN's SportsCenter named David Farrance's (Victor, N.Y.) game-winning goal from last night's 4-3 victory over Sweden as the number one 'Top 10 Plays of the Day.'

YESTERDAY’S GAME: USA 4, FINLAND 3 
Adam Fox
(Jericho, N.Y.) scored twice and David Farrance (Victor, N.Y.) netted the game-winner with 6:10 to play as Team USA erased a two-goal deficit to beat Finland, 4-3. 
     Jake Oettinger (Lakeville, Minn.) finished with 37 saves to earn the victory in goal for the U.S. while Robin Salo, Otto Koivula and Janne Kuokkanen all scored for Finland. 

YESTERDAY’S GAME: CANADA 7, SWEDEN 4 
Jordan Kyrou scored twice while Jonathan Ang, Cale Makar, Matthew Phillips, Logan Stanley and Sam Steel added goals to give Canada a 7-4 victory over Sweden. 
     Lias Andersson, Axel Jonsson Fjallby, Fredrick Karlstrom and Timothy Liljegren all scored for Sweden. 
     Michael DiPietro and Carter Hart split goaltending duties for Canada while Filip Gustavsson manned the net for Sweden.

The 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase features some of the top players under the age of 20 from four nations - the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden - auditioning for a spot to represent their country in the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, which will take place Dec. 26, 2017 - Jan. 5, 2018, in Buffalo, New York.
