The scoring started 1:36 into the contest when Brown banged home a loose puck in front of the net off an initial shot by Kailer Yamamoto (Spokane, Wash.). Mittelstadt then doubled the score two minutes later with a wrist shot into the top right corner off a pass from Quinn Hughes (Orlando, Fla.) while on the power play.

At 6:38, Patrick Harper (New Canaan, Conn.) made it 3-0 by skating down the right boards and tucking a snap shot past Canada’s goaltender Dylan Wells low blocker-side.
