Puck drop is set for 3:30 p.m. ET in Port Colborne, Ontario

The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team takes on Canada today at the Vale Health & Wellness Center in Port Colborne, Ontario. Puck drop is set for 3:30 p.m. ET in Team USA's final international tilt before the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games next March.
This is the fourth meeting between the two teams this season. On Thursday (Feb. 8), the two teams squared off in Buffalo, New York, where the U.S. skated to a 2-1 win at the HarborCenter. At the 2017 World Sled Hockey Challenge in Charlottetown, P.E.I. last December, the U.S. topped Canada, 5-2, in the preliminary round before claiming the championship game by a 3-2 count.

THE SERIES VS. CANADA
Since the 2014-15 season, the two teams have met 16 times, with the U.S. posting a 11-2-1-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record. All-time, the teams have met on 88 occasions with the United States holding a 26-9-8-45-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) record.
Entering the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, the U.S. and Canada have met in seven straight major international title games. In that span, the U.S. has claimed six wins, with its only championship loss against Canada coming last April at the 2017 Para Sled Hockey World Championship in Gangneung, South Korea. The last time the two teams did not meet in a championship game was in the 2015 World Sled Hockey Challenge, when the U.S. and Russia met in a rematch of the gold medal game of the 2014 Paralympic Winter Gams, which the U.S. won, 1-0.

OLYMPIC HOCKEY TEAMS BEGIN PLAY TOMORROW
Tomorrow, the 2018 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team will open its preliminary-round schedule in the XXIII Olympic Winter Games against Finland at the Kwandong Hockey Centre. Puck drop is set for 4:40 p.m. KST/12:40 a.m ET.

LAST GAME: USA 2, CAN 1
On Thursday, Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) made 16 saves and Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) scored twice to lead the U.S. to a 2-1 win over Canada at the HarborCenter in Buffalo, New York.
"A win is a win and there's a lot we can take away from tonight," said Guy Gosselin, head coach of the 2017-18 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. "Steve was terrific in net and we saw some key contributions to get us the win."

CHICAGO RESIDENCY PROGRAM UNDERWAY
On Jan. 8, 2018, the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team relocated to Chicago where it is living and training as a team until the Paralympic Winter Games this March. The team will utilize ice time at West Meadows Ice Rink in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
"Our time in Chicago is all about coming together as a team," said Dan Brennan, general manager of the 2018 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team. "The Paralympics is the highest level our sport has to offer and for our players and staff to be able to train together in one location is something special as we continue to prepare towards the ultimate goal of winning a gold medal."
