The U.S. National Junior Team earned its second medal in four years with a bronze medal finish at the 2007 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Leksand and Mora, Sweden.
Taylor Chorney served as captain for Team USA, which for the first time ever included two first-overall NHL draft picks in defenseman Erik Johnson (2006, St. Louis blues) and forward Patrick Kane (2007, Chicago Blackhawks). Johnson was named the Best Defenseman of the tournament by the directorate and named to the tournament All-Star Team alongside Kane.
