The U.S. National Junior Team skated to a 3-3-0 (W-L-T) record and an eighth place finish at the 1999 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Winnipeg, Canada.

Paul Mara was tabbed as captain of Team USA and forward Brian Gionta led the tournament in scoring with 11 points (6-5) while teammate Scott Gomez tied for second with 10 points (3-7).
