1983 IIHF World Junior Championship - Leningrad, Soviet Union

The U.S. National Junior Team earned a fifth place finish with a 3-4-0 (W-L-T) record at the 1984 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Leningrad, Soviet Union.

Team USA was led by future U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame members Tom Barrasso (2009 inductee) and John Vanbiesbrouck (2007 inductee). The U.S. squad also included Brian Lawton, the first-ever U.S.-born player to be selected first overall in the NHL Entry Draft.
