Through the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship, the United States has a 162-12-6-114-11 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) all-time record in world junior championship play. Most recently, Team USA earned the gold medal at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden.

To date, Team USA has earned 15 podium finishes, including six gold medals (2004, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2021, 2024), two silver medals (1997, 2019) and seven bronze medals (1986, 1992, 2007, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2023). The United States has medaled in seven of the last nine World Juniors.
