Sean Braziel - Team Leader

Sean Braziel is serving on the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team for the first time as a team leader.  

Braziel served in a similar capacity for the 2017 U.S. National Junior team, who captured gold at the IIHF World Junior Championships in Montreal and Toronto, Canada, in addition to the 2018 bronze medal-winning U.S. National Junior Team. 

A recently retired U.S. Marine Lt. Col., Braziel has spent the past two seasons working on and off the ice with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in Plymouth, Michigan. Most recently, he served as a guest coach during the 2016 USA Hockey National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp.

Currently, Braziel is a coach with the Potomac Patriots Junior Hockey program in Potomac, Virginia.

Braziel, who played hockey at Iona College, declined offers to play professionally in Europe in order to pursue a military career. He holds a Masters of Science and advanced degrees from MIT and Notre Dame.
