2022-23 Rivalry Series

The U.S. Women's National Team is facing off against Canada in the 2022-23 Rivalry Series, a seven-game competition featuring the two world powers.

The U.S. and Canada have battled in the gold-medal game of every IIHF Women’s World Championship and Olympic Winter Games staged, with just two exceptions (2019 World Championship, 2006 Olympics).

Previously, the 2019-20 Rivalry Series included five games - two in December and the final three games in February. Team USA won the series 4-1, including an overtime win in the finale on Feb. 8 in front of a record-breaking 13,320 fans in Anaheim, Calif.

The Rivalry Series was introduced by USA Hockey and Hockey Canada in the 2018-19 season and comprised three games between the women’s national teams of the two countries.
