Linkoping and Mjolby, Sweden | Jan. 5-12

On September 17, the IIHF announced that the 2021 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship, scheduled to take place Jan. 5-12 in Linkoping and Mjolby, Sweden, has been cancelled. For more information, click here.

Most recently, the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team went 3-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) at the 2020 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship to claim a fifth gold medal in the last six years and extend its unprecedented medal streak in tournament play to 13-straight IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championships. 

The 2020 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship took place Dec. 26-Jan 2 in Bratislava, Slovakia, where the U.S. won three of its four preliminary-round games to earn the second second in Group A and a bye for the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, the U.S. defeated Russia, 3-0, to advance to the gold-medal game. In the gold-medal matchup with Canada, the U.S. used an overtime game-winner from Kiara Zanon and 31 saves from Skylar Vetter to claim gold in thrilling fashion.
