Noreen is serving as the head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team for the first time.

Previously, Noreen has served as the head coach of the U.S. Junior Select Team at the World Junior A Challenge in both 2019 and 2018, leading the team to a first and third-place finish, respectively. His first appearance behind the bench with the team was as an assistant coach in 2017, where he helped the team to a second-place finish.

The Storm has advanced to post-season play in four of five of Noreen’s years as head coach, apart from the 2019-20 season when the playoffs were cancelled. Additionally, the Chicago native spent two seasons as the general manager (2017-19) of the Storm and three as president of hockey operations (2019-22).

Noreen also serves as the president of hockey operations for the Windy City Storm 16U of the HPHL.

Prior to joining the Storm, Noreen was the head coach of the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears (2015-17), the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL (head coach and general manager 2011-15, assistant coach 2010-11) and was an assistant coach for his alma-mater, the University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point (2007-10).
