2022 IIHF Men's World Championship

Tampere & Helsinki, Finland | May 13-29, 2022

The 2022 IIHF Men's World Championship is taking place May 13-29, 2022, in Tampere & Helsinki, Finland. The U.S. Men's National Team will compete in Group B alongside France, Czech Republic, Finland, Great Britain, Latvia, Norway and Sweden. All Group B preliminary round games will take place at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland, while Group A will play in Helsinki Ice Hall.

Most recently, the U.S. Men's National Team earned a bronze medal in 2021 tournament  and finished with an 8-0-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record. Team USA won Group B over Canada, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Italy and Kazakhstan.

In total, the U.S. has earned 13 podium finishes, including one gold medal (1933), four silver medals (1950, 1939, 1934, 1931) and eight bronze medals (2021, 2018, 2015, 2013, 2004, 1996, 1952, 1949).
