Chris Scoppetto, the head equipment manager for the NHL's New Jersey Devils, will serve as an equipment manager for the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
Affectionately known as "Frosty," Scoppetto has supported U.S. teams as equipment manager at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off and at four IIHF Men’s World Championship in 2022, 2019, 2017 and 2011.
Scoppetto is in his ninth season with the New Jersey Devils, including the last eight as the team’s head equipment manager. He joined the Devils after an eight-year run as head equipment manager for the Florida Panthers.
The Hamden, Conn., native's NHL career began in 1997-98 as assistant equipment manager for the Arizona Coyotes for two seasons, before filling a similar role for six campaigns with the Nashville Predators. He then spent three seasons with the Detroit Red Wings as assistant equipment manager and earned a Stanley Cup ring with the Wings in 2008.
He attended Arizona State University and graduated with a degree in exercise science.
