The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team defeated Canada, 6-1, in the gold-medal match to capture its third-straight and sixth overall gold medal at the 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Championship, which was held May 28-June 4, 2023, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
The U.S. finished the tournament with a 5-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record to cap off an unbeaten 16-2-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) season.
The U.S. was joined by Canada, Czechia, and Korea in Group A. China, Germany, Italy and Norway made up Group B.
The 2021 Para Sled Hockey World Championship took place June 19-26 in Ostrava, Czech Republic and included three days of preliminary round play followed by two days of playoff matchups before the medal round. The U.S. defeated Canada, 5-1, in the gold-medal match to claim its fifth championship at the tournament. It was the second straight championship for the team.
