The 2023 World Junior A Challenge took third place in Truro, Nova Scotia, from December 10-17, 2023.
Team USA finished third with an 8-5 win over Sweden after falling 3-4 in overtime to Canada West in the semifinals and going undefeated in the preliminary round.
Since the inaugural tournament in 2006, Team USA has captured nine tournament crowns, including most recently in 2022. Team USA won three of four preliminary round games before defeating Sweden in the semifinal to advance to the championship game. The U.S. went on to top Canada East, 5-3, in the title game to take home its ninth tournament championship.
