PD Melgoza (Torrance, Calif.) is serving as the goalie and video coach for the U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team for the first time at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. 

Melgoza is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Prior to joining the Nanooks, Melgoza spent two seasons (2021-23) as an assistant coach with the USHL’s Waterloo Black Hawks. He also served as a goaltending coach for The University of Alaska Anchorage from 2019-21 before his stint in Waterloo. 

Melgoza has also coached at USA Hockey Player Development Camps for the last two seasons (2023-24).
