Greg Moore

Greg Moore is serving as the head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team at the 2025 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship for the first time.

Moore returns to the tournament for the first time since 2017, where he served as an assistant coach for Team USA and helped it win gold in Poprad, Slovakia. Additionally, Moore was most recently on staff of the 2024 U.S. Men’s National Team at the 2024 IIHF Men’s World Championship in Ostrava, Czechia.

Moore recently completed his second season at the helm of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and served as an assistant coach for the NTDP from 2015-18 before he was named head coach of the USHL's Chicago Steel. Following a Clark Cup Finals appearance, Moore served as head coach of the AHL's Toronto Marlies from 2019-23 before he returned to USA Hockey.

Moore spent two seasons as a player for the NTDP from 2000-02. He was also a member of the Under-17 Team that placed first at the 2001 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He was also a member of the U.S. National Junior Team that claimed the United States’ first gold medal in tournament history in 2004.

Prior to joining the NTDP coaching staff, Moore played professional hockey for the Deutsche Eishockey Liga’s Augsburg Panthers in 2014-15. Moore also spent time in the National Hockey League and American Hockey League.

Following his NTDP career, Moore skated for the University of Maine men’s ice hockey program (2002-06). Moore was selected as team captain during his senior season, was a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award and earned Hockey East First Team and All-America First Team honors.
