Mike Garman will be making his IIHF coaching debut with the 2025 U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team at the 2025 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship.
Garman has been with the USHL's Chicago Steel since 2017 and currently serves as the head coach and general manager. He served as an assistant coach for three seasons before he was named associate head coach and won the Clark Cup. Garman was named general manager prior to the 2021-22 season and re-joined the coaching staff in 2023 in his current dual role.
Prior to his tenure with the Steel, Garman played three seasons of professional hockey with stops in the ECHL, CHL and stints across Europe. The former netminder played collegiately for three seasons at Cornell University.
