Cogan will make his IIHF coaching debut with the 2025 U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team at the 2025 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Cogan is in his second year as a player development coach for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. He is a USA Hockey Level 5 Coach and has 11 years of coaching experience prior to joining the NTDP staff. He played four years of ACHA hockey at Niagara University before joining the Marine Corps.

Cogan served as a Marine Infantry Officer and Special Operations Commander for over 21 years.
