Team USA competed in Group A alongside Canada, Czechia, Finland and Switzerland, while Germany, Sweden, Japan, Hungary and Norway skated in Group B.
The U.S. went undefeated through the tournament 6-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) en route to its 24th-straight medal, a gold, following a 4-3 overtime victory over Canada in the gold medal game.
The U.S. has made it to the gold-medal game in all 24 of the IIHF Women's World Championships, winning the gold in seven of the last 10 tournaments (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2023, 2025).
