Community Service
In her third year as an Athlete Mentor for Classroom Champions, a non-profit organization dedicated to partnering teachers with Olympic and Paralympic athletes to mentor students in underserved communities. Through her work with students in Alexandria, Va., and Portland, Ore., she supports them to reach their full potential both inside and outside of the classroom.
First Memory of Hockey
At age six, she played goalie for the first time. She remembers putting on the gear and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. From that point on, she would always beg to play goalie.
