WASHINGTON, D.C. – Team USA will face Finland here tonight in its final pre-tournament game in advance of the World Cup of Hockey 2016. Opening faceoff at Verizon Center is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game can be seen live in the U.S. on ESPN.

The U.S. had a light skate at 10:30 a.m. this morning in advance of tonight’s game.

Coach John Tortorella has set Jonathan Quick to start in goal. Kyle Palmieri, Brandon Dubinsky and Cory Schneider will not dress tonight.

Team USA will depart Washington, D.C. immediately after tonight’s game for Toronto. Its first game in the World Cup of Hockey 2016 comes Saturday (Sept. 17) at 3:30 p.m. against Team Europe in the Air Canada Centre.

NOTES: Team USA arrived in Washington, D.C. at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 11) and had an intense one-hour practice yesterday (Sept. 12) … The U.S. is 1-1 in its two pre-tournament games, including a 4-2 win over Canada in Columbus on Sept. 9 and a 5-2 loss to Canada in Ottawa on Sept. 10.
