TORONTO – The U.S practiced this morning at Ricoh Coliseum after a tough loss to Team Europe to open the World Cup of Hockey 2016 yesterday.

It was a day of reflection for the team. After the skate, coach John Tortorella tabbed Tuesday’s game against Canada “our championship game.”

Following practice, some of the players visited an Adidas hospitality venue while others enjoyed Toronto with family members.

The U.S. returns to the ice tomorrow at 1 p.m. for its final full practice in advance of the second of its three preliminary-round games in the World Cup Tuesday against Canada at Air Canada Centre. The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals.
