SEMIFINALS TOMORROW
After taking the day yesterday to explore Moscow as a group, Team USA returned to the ice today from 3:30-4:45 p.m. for its final tune-up before tomorrow’s semifinal matchup against Canada at 3:30 p.m. local time/7:30 a.m. ET. In a team meeting following practice, USWNT members Kacey BellamyBrianna DeckerMeghan Duggan, and Cayla Barnes, who played alongside seven current members of this team at last year’s U18 Women’s Worlds, talked to the group via live video and offered words of wisdom and encouragement before tomorrow’s game.

“I expect a highly competitive game and I’m excited for it,” said head coach Joel Johnson. “We’re going to need players to step up and be stars in their particular role, and I’m really looking forward to that because I believe this team is coming together as a family.”
