After its second win of the tournament, the U.S. women enjoyed a day full of rest and recovery ahead of its final preliminary round game against Canada.

SISTERLY SUPPORT
Even on an off-day, Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) found herself back at the Kwandong Hockey Centre, but this time, she sat in the stands. Hannah joined her parents and her sister’s husband at the rink to watch as her sister, Marissa, represented Korea in her final game of the tournament against Japan.

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE VILLAGE
Members of the U.S. team were getting into the spirt of Valentine’s Day. In Korean culture, crossing your thumb and index finger (like the photo) is the symbol of a heart.

And also this evening, the U.S. women’s team bumped into some old friends – French figure skating pairs duo Vanessa James and Morgan Cipres. Vanessa and Morgan also trained for the Olympics at Florida Hospital Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, Fla.

MUST-WATCH ON AN OFF-DAY
When there’s a day off and time to relax, some players like to read books ,or spend time with family and friends, and some love to watch TV. Here are some of the players’ favorites:

Monique Lamoureux-Morando: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Grey’s Anatomy

Brianna Decker: Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, This is Us

Maddie Rooney: One Tree Hill, Full House, Fixer Upper
