Settling In

Team USA has arrived in Magnitogorsk where it will play all its preliminary round games starting on Thursday with its matchup with Canada. With it being a travel day, the U.S. did not participate in a practice or conditioning session today.

History in Russia

The 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18  Men's World Championship is being held in Chelyabinsk (Traktor Ice Arena) and Magnitogorsk (Metallurg Ice Rink), Russia. This will mark the fourth time Russia has hosted the tournament, with the previous locations being Sochi (2013/), Kazan (2008) and Yaroslavl (2003). The U.S. has previously earned two medals in Russia (2013 and 2008/Bronze) and will seek its first gold medal on Russian soil.
