Aug. 2: Day Five

The U.S. returns to action here at the 2018 World Junior Summer Showcase in Kamloops, B.C.. In the first game of the day, the U.S. meets Sweden at 1 p.m. local (4 p.m. ET) at Sandman Centre. The game, as well as the day's 6 p.m. tilt between Canada and Finland, will be televised live on NHL Network.

FORMING UNITY
2019 U.S. National Junior Team head coach Mike Hastings and general manager John Vanbiesbrouck emphasized building unity and forming cohesion within the group during the final stretch of the World Junior Summer Showcase. They also look forward to players "rising to the occasion" in these last three games. 

HUGHES ALL-ACCESS PRACTICE
On Sun., July 29, brothers Jack and Quinn Hughes took turns wearing a GoPro during their practice with USA White. The two, which played for USA White together before yesterday's roster trim, are teammates for just the second time ever. The previous occasion occurred when Jack was called up last-minute to Quinn's team for a game.
