The second to last day of the 2018 World Junior Summer Showcase will see the U.S. take on Finland at 1 p.m. local time (4 p.m. ET) followed by Canada meeting Sweden at 6 p.m. local time (9 p.m. ET). Both games will be televised live in the United States on NHL Network.

2019 WJC SCHEDULE UNVEIL
The International Ice Hockey Federation has announced the schedule for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship, which will take place Dec. 26, 2018 - Jan. 5, 2019, in Vancouver and Victoria, Canada. The U.S., which has claimed medals (gold - 2017, bronze - 2016, 2018) in three-straight IIHF World Junior Championships for the first time, was placed in Group B alongside Finland, Kazakhstan, Slovakia and Sweden. ROSTER TIDBIT: WOLVERINES SEAL OT WIN
In yesterday's come-from-behind 5-4 overtime win against Sweden, the U.S. saw University of Michigan players Josh Norris (Oxford, Mich.) and Quinn Hughes (Orlando, Fla.) connect for the game-winning goal. The duo were key contributors on last year's Wolverines team that reached the 2018 NCAA Frozen Four as Hughes led all Wolverines freshmen in points (5-24--29) while Norris ranked second (8-15--23). Hughes went on to earn Big Ten All-Rookie Team and Big Ten Second All-Star Team honors. 

CAMP TIDBIT: NHL DRAFT TIES
Three NHL teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers, have multiple draft picks among the 29 U.S. players here in Kamloops. In 2017, the Canadiens drafted forward Ryan Poehling (Lakeville, Minn.) in the first round, 25th overall, and added Cayden Primeau (Voorhees, N.J.) in the seventh round, 199th overall. The New York Islanders drafted defenseman Ben Mirageas (Newburyport, Mass.) in the third round, 77th overall, and forward Logan Cockerill (Brighton, Mich.) in the seventh round, 201st overall) before taking forward Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Mass.) in the first round, 11th overall, of the 2018 NHL Draft. Additionally, the Flyers used both of their first-round selections (14th, 19th) at the 2018 NHL Draft on forwards Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y.) and Jay O'Brien (Hingham, Mass.) after choosing Noah Cates (Stillwater, Minn.) in the fifth round, 137th overall, of the 2017 NHL Draft.
