Shearen taking time after practice to speak with the media
MEDIA TIME
Following practice on Sunday morning, four returning members of the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team spoke with local media about the upcoming IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship. Topics varied from past experiences at the tournament to what they would tell young girls looking to try hockey for the first time.
Hadley Hartmetz (Phoenixville, Pa.), Katy Knoll (Amherst, N.Y.), Dominique Petrie (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and Sydney Shearen (Hugo, Minn.) all had the opportunity to share their thoughts with members of the media.
PREPARATION FOR JAPAN
Team USA's morning practice included work on multiple facets of its game in preparation for Japan. The team went through some flow drills and 2-on-1's before breaking off and spending some time working on special teams, as well as faceoffs.
The U.S. squad will take on the LA Jr. Kings this evening at 6 p.m. PT in a scrimmage game at Toyota Sports Center. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
