Day 1: April 24

The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team arrived in Ostrava, Czechia, just after noon local time (6 a.m. ET). Team USA's journey started on Monday (April 22), with players and staff convening in Newark, New Jersey, before the team's flight yesterday (April 23). The team flew direct from Newark to Vienna, Austria, where tournament hosts met Team USA and began a bus ride through the Czechia countryside.

FIRST TIME IN EUROPE
Two members of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team are making their first-ever journey across the pond to Europe. Forward Kyle Zych (South Hadley, Mass.), currently enjoying his first season with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team, has never traveled to Europe before while neither has assistant coach Corey Gorder (Bottineau, N.D.).
