Aug. 10: Day Six

The final scrimmages of the 2019 Women’s National Festival took place Saturday morning, starting with the U18 inter-squad scrimmage at 10 a.m. ET on the historic 1980 Rink in Lake Placid, New York. All Under-18 and Under-22 eligible players got to showcase their talents one more time for the coaches before they made their decision on the U18 and U22 Women’s Select Team rosters.

Despite it being tied 1-1 after the first period, U18 team navy scored three goals in both the second and third periods to defeat U18 team white 7-2 in regulation. Sadie Lindsay (Minnetonka, Minn.), Abbey Murphy (Evergreen Park, Ill.) Kathryn Davis (Meridian, Idaho) and Peyton Hemp (Andover, Minn.) each had multi-point performances in their final Women’s National Festival scrimmage. Murohy and Hemp each notched a pair of goals while Davis and Lindsay both finished with a goal and an assist for team navy.
