MADE IT TO MONCTON
After arriving in Moncton, New Brunswick late last night, players and staff slept in and enjoyed a late breakfast before heading to the rink. The Avenir Centre is only 900 meters from our hotel, but today's high in Moncton was a blistering 29 degrees, so players took advantage of a shuttle service courtesy of our wonderful staff. Following a goalie session in the morning, Team USA hit the ice for practice and chance to familiarize themselves with the arena.

SCREEN TIME FOR ABBY
Abby Roque (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.), one of Team USA's six newcomers, joined NHL Network this evening to talk about her time with USA Hockey and scoring her first goal as a member of the senior national team last Saturday. NHL Network will provide coverage of Game 2 of the Rivalry Series tomorrow beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.

FRIENDLY COMPETITION
Hockey players aren't the only ones with a competitive side. A friendly wager between U.S. Consul General in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Kevin Skillin, and Mayor of Moncton, Dawn Arnold, has been placed on Team USA's game against Canada tomorrow night. If Canada wins, Skillin, a Pennsylvania native, must send a box of Hershey's chocolate to Arnold's office. However, if the U.S. prevails, Arnold must present Skillin with a bottle of Canada's finest maple syrup. May the best team win!
