The U.S. Women's National Team is using the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota, as home base in preparation for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games. A total of 28 players were invited to the U.S. residency program in Blaine where they have been training together since October in the lead up to the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. As of mid December, the roster includes 23 players.
In addition to training, the players are also competing in series of games on the My Why Tour, presented by Toyota, to help in getting ready for the Games, which run Feb. 3-20 in Beijing China. Ultimately, 23 athletes will be selected for the final 2022 Olympic Winter Games roster, which is expected to be announced in late December or early January.
