Team USA got on the board immediately to open the contest when Ty Pelton-Byce (Madison, Wis./University of Wisconsin) scored just 10 seconds into the contest.

Following Pelton-Byce's game-opening goal, the U.S. used the early momentum to score three more first period goals.

Jake Pappalardo (Salem, N.H./College of the Holy Cross) doubled the U.S. lead at the 5:04 mark of the opening stanza.

Shortly thereafter, Ryan Finnegan (Tecumseh, Kansas/Lindenwood University) scored the third U.S. goal, just 3:52 after Pappalardo put Team USA up by two.

Men's Roster

Team USA got its fourth goal of the period from Zach Mitchell (Chicago, Ill./Lindenwood University) and went to the locker room with a 4-0 lead.

The U.S. kept the pressure high during the second period and would add one goal from Kinsella to bring the lead to 5-0.

Similar to the start of the game, Team USA came out flying to start the third period.

Jack Rowe (Carey, Ill,/Arizona State University) put the U.S. up by six just 1:12 into the period.

Following the theme of scoring quick goals, Kinsella scored his second goal of the contest 18 seconds after Rowe's goal that gave the U.S. a 6-0 lead.

After killing off a tripping penalty, Hungary used some special teams momentum and scored its first goal of the game at the 48:09 mark.

The U.S responded to the Hungary goal with more pressure and, as a result, Kinsella netted his third goal to complete the hat trick and bring the score to 8-1.
