Teams hit the ice bright and early today for some early morning games here at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The full slate of six of games was kicked off by Orange vs. Gray at 8:30 a.m. local time and wrapped up with Red vs. Black on the main sheet.
After games finished up for the day, players attended nutrition seminars with the strength and conditioning staff and took a break for lunch. Meanwhile, players for the U-18 Selects Player Development Camp arrived in St. Cloud and began checking in with camp directors.
The Girls 15 Camp players returned to the ice in the afternoon for practices with the intern coaches, rotating through small-area games. Each team hit the ice to practice alongside the same team they competed against earlier in the day.
Gray 2, Orange 0: Abigail Holcomb was a part of both goals for Team Gray this morning, tallying a goal and an assist. Leah Bosch and Katelyn Desa combined to record an 18-save shutout.
Teal 6, Maroon 4: Team Teal came roaring from behind, overcoming a 4-0 deficit, to defeat Maroon 6-4 this morning. Courtney Ben recorded a hat trick while Hannah Fritz and Elizabeth Simmons stopped 18 shots in the contest.
Light Blue 3, Purple 1: Tessa Janecke scored the deciding goal for Light Blue in this morning's 3-1 win over Purple. Hannah Fritz and Elizabeth Simmons combined for 18 saves.
Green 5, White 2: Team Green's Emma Hoen netted the game-winner in this morning's victory over White. Goaltenders Allison Ayuyu and Daphnee Kalogeropoulos put up a .929 save percentage today.
Royal 3, Gold 4: Team Gold defeated Royal 4-3 this morning, highlighted by two goals scored by Hayley Kelleher. Goaltenders Alexandra Cuellar and Olivia Lumpiesz stopped an impressive 38 shots in the contest.
Black 1, Red 5: Madison Kaiser accounted for three assists and Kianna Roeske earned a goal and an assist in today's 5-1 win for Team Red. Bailey Callaway and Evelina Sheridan recorded a .947 save percentage.
