A final-second goal captured the win for Red; Friday's games begin at 11 a.m. CT

The players of the Girls U-18 Select Player Development Camp participated in their first full day of the 2019 camp today. The morning was light for the girls, who enjoyed meals at the St. Cloud State campus dining hall before heading to the rink to participate in mental skills sharpening exercises.

The game action began in the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center's main rink at 1 p.m. local time as teams Blue and White went to head-to-head. Red and Gold followed suit shortly after the first contest saw its conclusion at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time. The coaches and staff, who feverishly jotted down notes on the gameplay, huddled up for an evaluation following the games.

Friday's Game Schedule

Blue vs. Red: 9 a.m. CT

White vs. Gold: 10:45 a.m. CT

The goaltenders saw the last ice time of the day, returning to the main rink at around 7 p.m. local time. Emma Polusny, goaltender of the U.S. Women's National Team and intern goalie coach of the Girls 15 Player Development Camp which wrapped this morning, suited up in her full goalie equipment to join the U-18 players for their training session.

The girls are not scheduled to play any games tomorrow, but will skate for practice and participate in off-ice demonstrations and lectures such as mental skills and mobility sessions.
