Pre-Tournament Camp First Step in Determining Final 23-player Roster

Twenty-eight players are set to arrive in Plymouth, Mich. beginning Sunday (Dec. 15) for the opportunity of earning a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team. The first day of camp will welcome players after a full weekend of games prior to the first day of practice scheduled for Monday (Dec. 16) at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.

“We have 28 players coming from all over the country and abroad to USA Hockey Arena and we’re excited to see them come together,” said John Vanbiesbrouck, general manager of the 2020 U.S. National Junior Team and assistant executive director of hockey operations for USA Hockey. “We want them to come together as a team and earn the opportunity to represent our country.”

The U.S. camp in Plymouth, Mich., scheduled for Dec. 16-17 including a controlled scrimmage versus USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Under-18 Team, is part of the selection process in determining the final Team USA roster for the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship.
