GAMEDAY: Today will mark the opening contest of the 2019-20 Rivalry Series, a five-game series between the U.S. and Canada. The first event of its kind between the rival nations took place in a three-game format last February. LAST SERIES: The U.S. won the opening game in London, Ontario, with Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) scoring the game-winning goal and Alex Cavallini (Delafield, Wis.) recording a 33-save shutout to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory. Canada struck back in game two, claiming a 4-3 win over Team USA in Toronto despite eight members Americans getting onto the score sheet. In the series finale at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, the U.S. fell to Canada, 2-0, despite a 15-save outing for Rigsby.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK: A total of six players are making their U.S. Women’s National Team debut, including Kelly Browne (Burlington, Mass.), Natalie Buchbinder (Fairport, N.Y.), Britta Curl (Bismarck, N.D), Clair DeGeorge (Anchorage, Alaska), Aerin Frankel (New York, N.Y.) and Abby Roque (Sault Ste.
