Top Women's Players To Be Part of NHL All-Star Weekend Festivities

U.S. will take on Canada in 3-on-3 game

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Ten members who have played on the U.S. Women's National Team will compete in NHL All-Star weekend festivities in St. Louis, Mo., Friday, Jan. 24 beginning at 8 p.m. ET as part of the 2020 NHL All-Star Skills on NBCSN.

Kacey Bellamy (Westfield, Mass.), Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.), Alex Cavallini (Delafield, Wis.), Kendall Coyne Schofield (Palos Heights, Ill.), Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.), Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.), Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho), Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson (Grand Forks, N.D.), Annie Pankowski (Laguna Hills, Calif.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.) will face a team comprised of top women's players from Canada as part of a 3-on-3 game during the event. The 3-on-3 game will consist of two 10-minute periods, with a running clock. Teams will switch ends after the first period. All penalties will be “served” with a penalty shot being awarded to the player specifically fouled. The U.S. team will be coached by Olympic gold medalist and Hockey Hall of Famer Cammi Granato.

Last year, Coyne Schofield became the first woman to compete in the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, posting a time of 14.346 in the fastest skater event.
